CFOA’s Weight Loss Challenge
CFOA is
announcing the First Annual Football Weight Loss
Challenge. Too many of us are overweight. Being
overweight not only increases the likelihood of
numerous medical problems, but fat guys just look
bad on the field. The CFOA, therefore, is hosting
a Weight Loss Challenge for this year. If you are
overweight (you know who you are), take this
opportunity to lose weight in a competitive
setting. Rules are simple. There will be a weigh
in at Lake Highland Prep Monday, June 15. This is
the same date you can pick up your packets for
this year provided you are registered with the
FHSAA. The next weigh in will be at the beach
weekend. The person who loses the most weight (in
pounds, not %, body fat, etc) wins. The first
place prize will be a new uniform shirt, knickers,
and belt. There will also be 2nd and 3rd
place prizes. We already have 28 officials signed
up. Most of us have trouble losing weight on our
own. This gives us an opportunity to do it in a
group setting. It also gives us the opportunity
to keep up with other participants during the
summer when we don’t see each other much. So put
down the ice cream, stop drinking the beer and get
on board. Thanks to Frank Scaletta for suggesting
the contest (being that he’s one of the fat
guys)! For more info, or if you’d like to
participate but can’t make the weigh in, email
Frank.
The
CFOA recommends that you consult your
doctor prior to beginning an exercise or weight
loss program.
