Good Afternoon Mr. Deen

I just saw your web site and wanted to drop a line to thank your

organization for my start in football officiating. I started I believe in 1978. My

assigner was Morris Middleton. I remember him as he worked next door to me

at the Naval Training Center. Well my career took me from Orlando to

Sacramento California and then to the High Desert area of California. I have been

a member of the Mojave Desert Officials Association since 1990. I am a crew

chief for varsity football and I work basketball. For an old guy, I'm

still pretty active as I will be starting my 32nd year as an official. I want

to thank your organization for the tremendous start I received. It was your

training and meetings that provided me with the best work ethic for this

avocation. I am trying to get our association to move towards the type of

training you provided me back in the late 70s. It's hard to have the young

guys understand the necessary work ethic and commitment to become a sports

official. I hope to be in a position to conduct our training as efficiently

as I remember from my days with CFOA. I stiil remember the Daytona Beach

Labor Day week end meetings and training sessions. I still have fond memories

of those days.

Please give my regards and congratulation for his hall of fame

induction.to Morris Middleton. Again, thank you for the best start and memorable

experiences I could ever have

Sincerely

Bob Vincelette

Rosamond. California.
