CENTRAL FLORIDA OFFICIALS ASSOCIATION

Executive Board Meeting  - 1-27-08

President Jeff Deen opened the meeting at 3:24 PM, at Edgewater high School Cafeteria.

• Discussion on two incidents that occurred at Edgewater HS and Cypress Creek HS. Disciplinary action approved.

• Discussion on lack of phone answering service at basketball assignment office late in the afternoon on game days.

• Announced the Hall of Fame banquet would be held on April 5 at the Altamonte Springs Hilton on S.R. 436.

• Discussed holding a recruiting reception to improve recruiting of new and transfer officials.

• This is a year for By-Law changes. Changes must be written and received 30 days prior to the Annual Business Meeting in May.

• Discussion on creating a CFOA Code of Ethics to supplement the National Federation code found in the FHSAA Officials Guidebook.

• Recommended that jurisdiction for adding new schools to the service area come under the control of the CFOA Executive Board.
